Two years ago on Earth Day the military "Celebrated" Earth Day by inviting the public to the base to show what responsible stewards of the land they are, included several busloads of children. This audacious idea put dozens of children and others at risk of being exposed to DU Oxide as live fire training was simultaneously happening. We hope this reckless abandon is remedied in the New Year.
